Baring Falls

Taking the trail below Sunrift Gorge . . .

we hike one third of a mile losing 100 feet in elevation. At the bottom, a log and one-rail bridge takes us across the creek at the bottom of the falls which are shooting out of a narrow opening surrounded by jagged rocks.
A precarious ledge to the left of the falls beckons my Father and he scrambles out for a Kodak moment. I wait patiently, albeit a bit nervously, for him to get to his rocky perch before I snap the picture.
